Places to visit in Annapurna Region:

Ghandruk village: It is a beautiful and second largest Gurung village in Kaski district. You can explore farm house, ancient gurung culture, mountain views of Annapurna south, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Fishtail.

Muktinath Temple: Situated at the base of Thorong La Mountain at an altitude of 3,710 meter, Muktinath is a scared place for both Hindus and Buddhists. Amar deep and 108 faucets are main point of attraction.

The Annapurna Conservation Area: The Annapurna region is a Conservation Area and also the largest and most protected region in the World (ACA), covering around 2600sq km towards the North-central region of Nepal. The Kali Gandaki river runs North to South through Annapurna region and it has the world's deepest gorge, approximate 6000m below the high Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs. Seven of the world’s highest peaks lie in Annapurna region that are over 7000m. The highest among them is Annapurna I at 8091m. The Annapurna Conservation Area supports a remarkable but delicate biodiversity, with 441 recorded species of birds, including the only endemic species of Nepal, the spiny babbler (Turdoides Nepalensis). The Kali Gandaki valley is also a major migration pathway in the autumn, when 40 species, including demoiselle cranes (Anthropoides Virgo), can be seen around Jomsom and Tukche. Happily this coincides with one of the two trekking seasons (Spring and Autumn).
